November Online Auction Blog

We are now approaching the latter stages of the November Greyhound Trader online auction and there has been plenty of bidding action to report about.

Starting with Bahamian, who has been the subject of bids by 12 different people. The unraced June 2024 is clearly very talented judging by her 28.79 trial at Shelbourne Park and interest has quite rightly been high in this lady. As of 3pm the bidding stands at £5800 which isn’t miles away from her reserve with a potential deal looking possible come 6pm.

The two relations to UK champion stayer Mongys Wild (Brackile Jess & Rafa) are standing at £850 and £950 currently. Perhaps two to take more of a chance on than anything, with Jess in particular also benefitting from any potential breeding value, I would expect the bidding to rise for these yet.

Grouchos Champ has been popular with 6 different bidders. His bid stands out £4550 which similarly to Bahamian isn’t far off the vendors reserve price. Another couple of bids could see this AA0 son of Grangeview Ten hit the market for sale.

Princess Eoin received an early bid of £2500 into the auction. This June 2024 daughter of Orchestrate is bred to stay and has caught a number of eyes with 4 different bidders now increasing her current bid to £2850.

Perhaps the dog with the most star-potential in this weekend’s online auction is Radical Story. A March 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout who qualified officially at Cork on Saturday night in 28.44, this dog of Tom O’Donovan’s really flew home in his trial and looks tailor-made for the English Puppy Derby at Towcester. Bidding ramped up after his trial to stand at £6800 now but with a guide price of £10,000 this seems still to be real value for such a fast dog nowadays.

Thunder Dance received the quickest bids of anyone in this weekend’s online auction. The March 2024 son of Coolavanny Hoffa was a recent 28.79 winner at Shelbourne Park and with 5 different bidders on him, he has indeed surpassed his reserve price already at £4600 and will be sold to the highest bidder come 6pm this evening.

Another greyhound who has been placed on the market and will be sold is Tromora Heart. Bidding for this June 2024 daughter of Good Cody stands at £1800 which is only just short of the £2000 guide price and her owner has made the early call to agree to sell, allowing prospective bidders every chance at her. In our opinion she is the value pick of the weekend having trialled at Limerick in 29.41.

For those interested in any of the greyhounds in this weekend’s online auction, don’t forget that bidding ends at 6pm this evening with the highest bidder given the best possible chance at purchasing their chosen greyhound.
