THE latest Greyhound Trader online auction, held in October, proved a huge success, with Epic Evie becoming the highest-priced greyhound sold on the platform in 2026.
An April 2025 daughter of Good News and Good Woman, Epic Evie qualified at Thurles in a magnificent 28.82 (-40). She attracted interest from some of the biggest names in greyhound racing, but it was Richard Evans who secured the winning bid of £20,000. Set to go into training with Seamus Cahill at Hove, there will be plenty of eyes on this exciting prospect, and we fully expect to see her making her mark on the big stage.
Amidus Hulk was another to command a significant price, eventually selling for £9,300 after a tense extended-bidding battle, with Craig Calvert emerging victorious. A May 2024 son of The Other Kobe, Hulk boasts winning form over 525y at Shelbourne Park in 28.18. He will head to Yorkshire, where he is expected to target both of the upcoming major competitions in the North of England.
Razldazl Cuddles also attracted strong interest, selling for £6,300 following her impressive 28.60 debut success at Shelbourne Park. Still only an April 2025 whelp, she looks an exciting prospect at that price and will join Michael Hurst in the North. The Northern Puppy Derby could be among the targets for this promising youngster.
Another of Dolores Ruth’s greyhounds to change hands was Razldazl Robyn, who sold for £4,000. A November 2024 daughter of Droopys Scolari, she heads south to join Tony Taylor’s kennels. Beaming Olivia also achieved £4,000 and will join Suzi Oxley’s team.
Luna Dash was secured post-auction for £7,500 by Kim Billingham-Hine. Having made an unbeaten start to her career and completed the hat-trick at Tralee in a rapid 28.40, she will now look to build on that impressive beginning in her new kennels.
In total, 15 of the 24 greyhounds offered found buyers, representing a 63% clearance rate and generating sales of over £73,000.
