Online Auction Results 2nd November

The latest Greyhound Trader online auction running into November was a huge success with 12 of the 20 greyhounds sold and heading to new homes!

A catalogue with a great variation of ability and age, it clearly appealed to the masses with plenty of bidding. All 12 greyhounds were purchased by 12 different new owners too.

Topping the sale post-auction was Radical Story who sold for £8250 to the kennels of Craig Morris. The March 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout produced an impressive 28.44 trial at Cork on Saturday night and looks an ideal candidate for the upcoming English Puppy Derby at Towcester before a possible tilt at the Derby itself next year.

Bahamian was another to attract plenty of attention and sold for £6200 to Frank Gray’s “Makeit” kennels. This unraced daughter of Tommy Shelby has a 28.79 trial at Shelbourne to name and will likely be targeted at the English Puppy Oaks at Towcester.

The dog which received the earliest surge of bids was Thunder Dance who eventually sold for £4650. A March 2024 son of Coolavanny Hoffa who was a recent 28.79 race winner at Shelbourne Park, he is another joining the kennels of Craig Morris and similarly should be in the van heading to Towcester for the English Puppy Derby.

Grouchos Champ sold for £4500 to the kennels of Rose Draper and this AA0 son of Grangeview Ten looks a ready-made Open class prospect for his new owners. Lastly, the recent 28.36 Cork winner Parkview Sprite was subject of an intense bidding battle which went to the wire but there was an eventual winner at £2760 and he will join the kennels of Tom Helibron at Newcastle.

In total, 12 of the 20 lots sold (60%) for a total outlay of £38,360.
