Online Auction November Preview

Read below the preview for the upcoming Greyhound Trader online auction beginning at 6pm this evening.

Whilst only 15 greyhounds are due to go under the hammer for the final Greyhound Trader online auction of 2024, quality isn’t amiss with 2835 and 2850 race winning pups available for the public to bid on.

Throughout the last couple of years, there has been massive success for the Online Auctions. Lively Lauren (£6000) is a 4x Cat 1 finalist and Oxford 650m TR holder, Savana Heross (£6025) won the Queen Mother Memorial at Sheffield, Tory Bellatrix (£4250) claimed the 664m TR at Central Park and of course Savana Top Cat (£14,300) won the Greyhoundtrader.com Stakes.

For those both providing the greyhounds and also bidding, we thank you for your support throughout 2024.

The auction returns to its normal schedule this weekend with bidding starting at 6pm on Friday and closing at 6pm on Sunday 10th November.

Clona Dash

A January 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout who set tongues wagging after his debut when winning at Tralee in 28.35 back in late August. Followed up with an 18.83 sprint trial at SPK, Dash soon became one of the talking dogs of Ireland. Now for sale after a 28.69 trial on Wednesday in Limerick, Dash will no doubt be an open race prospect who could be kept for the €80,000 Kirby memorial in Ireland.

Ginger Jane

A January 2023 daughter of Malachi and Love Island who won last night at SPK in a scintillating 28.50. A half-sister to Kirby champion Knockeen Dazzler, Jane is a genuine wide-runner who looks set to relish a step-up in trip. The upcoming 500m Towcester Puppy Oaks worth £10,000 could be an immediate target for her whilst the breeding paddocks at the end of her racing career also beckons.

Racenight Ivan

An April 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout who recently made the final of an ON1 competition at Enniscorthy. En route, Ivan produced runs of 28.94 and 28.99 and when looking through his form, he has a winning 28.78 run in Limerick just days before the ON1 final too. Powering home from halfway in all of his races, Ivan looks a 6-bend dog in the making. Eligible for the £20,000 Monmore Puppy Derby, this could be an ideal starting point before the step-up in trip.

Bellagio

An April 2023 son of Confident Rankin who was a winner at Limerick in 28.77 just last weekend in his 2nd ever race. Weighing in at 76lb, Bellagio showed great early pace before drawing clear to win by over 7 lengths. Another greyhound eligible for the £20,000 Monmore Puppy Derby, his brother Rackethall Brute won an English Puppy Derby trial stake at Towcester last weekend in 29.29 for the MWD Syndicate.

Ballinabola June

An April 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet and Ballinabola Ruby who scored at Enniscorthy only last night in 28.99. A beautiful fawn bitch, June displayed signs of good early pace before motoring away from the field to win by over 9 lengths. Eligible for the upcoming £10,000 Puppy Oaks, 500m looks well within her capabilities. Whispers around Ireland indicate that her brother is one of the most exciting talents set to appear early next year too.

Snow Patrol

The youngest in the catalogue is this well named May 2023 son of Good Cody and Lemon Phoebe. Nearly all white in colour, Snow Patrol qualified in very young at Dundalk in 29.52. However, as expected, this dog has improved massively since then with a recent unofficial 2885 trial at SPK. His dam Lemon Phoebe has previously thrown Lemon Mundy who qualified in 1878 at SPK before making his debut in 2844 at the same venue.

Roaming Keano

A white and brindle March 2023 son of Droopys Sydney who qualified at Cork in 2919. In the videoed official trial, Keano blew away his trial companion by 20 lengths in what was his first 525y run for a long time due to cough. Keano counts the Graham Holland trained pair Faypoint Sean and Faypoint Harvey amongst his older brothers, as well as Roaming Turbo (qualified unraced 2818 Cork) who was sold by this same vendor.

Coolavanny Love

A January 2023 daughter of Malachi and Coolavanny Tutsy who is being touted as a future marathon performer. Tipping the scales at a mere 55lb, Love is a small bitch with a big engine as shown in her on-running performances at Enniscorthy where she made the final of the recent ON1 competition despite being wrongly seeded. Her older sister Coolavanny Mercy has an incredible record in the UK for trainer Angela Harrison.

Azeman

An August 2022 son of Vulturi who last month won an A3 in Limerick in a fast 2859. An out and gone type who can run from any trap, Azeman looks an ideal greyhound for those wanting to hit the ground running in the top grades and maybe even Open class. Should be suited to all trip 480-500m.

Totilas

An August 2022 son of the great Droopys Sydney who has won over 6-bends in Ireland when recording D1 time at Limerick. Crying out for the 500m or further which the UK has to offer, Totilas has some smart form to name including 2882 Enniscorthy and 2899 Limerick.

Ballinabola Mila

A December 2022 daughter of Ballymac Best who was a 7 length race winner at Enniscorthy last night in 2900. A winner of 5 from 20, Mila gives her all in every race and looks the perfect bitch for someone looking for a greyhound which will pay their way wherever she goes.

Racenight Jonboy

An April 2023 son of Confident Rankin has raced just the once in Limerick where he wasn’t able to give a true reflection of his ability. Taken back to the same venue this Wednesday, Jonboy trialed in 2953 staking his claim as a valuable grader. With age on his side, it is hard to go wrong with this 75lb dog who is already A5.

Dellboys Diva

An April 2023 daughter of Ballymac Cashout and Delboys Cushty who qualified in her only ever 525y trial in 3034 at Limerick. One who will improve on that for sure, Diva is another for the graded scene at all venues. Could prove to be a cheap purchase for one so young.

He’s A Prince

A February 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger who is currently racing at Crayford with Jim Reynolds. Already a winner in A5 company in 2358, Prince has shown he is well able to run and is sure to provide potential new connections instant entertainment with no hassle of transport required.

El Prez Jack

A September 2022 son of Droopys Sydney who won in his last outing at Towcester in A5 company in 3005 for current trainer Vicki Lea. A dog well suited to the 500m trip, he would be ideal for someone looking to continue him on at Towcester or take him to Nottingham / Hove.
