Star Pelaw Sales Preview – Thursday 14th May 2026

The Greyhound Trader team return to the excellent Star Pelaw venue on Thursday 14th May 2026 for what promises to be another highly enjoyable daytime sale. Star Pelaw continues to establish itself as one of the friendliest and most welcoming family-run tracks in the country and buyers travelling in can once again look forward to an excellent breakfast on arrival, while quality food and drink will be available throughout the day. Credit must also go to Kim Samzone, Head of Greyhound Racing Operations, who continues to do an outstanding job on behalf of the company and is always both professional and a pleasure to deal with.

The venue will open to the public at approximately 9am, with trials set to commence at around 10am. The auction itself will take place approximately half an hour after the conclusion of the final trial.

There are a variety of young greyhounds available throughout the catalogue to suit all pockets, with the vast majority either unraced or only lightly raced. Several entries arrive with appealing pedigrees and minimal schooling, while others have already shown enough ability on the track to suggest they can quickly pay their way in England.

A number of these lots arrive with only limited public evidence, but several have already clocked performances that catch the eye on paper. This latest sales preview is expertly brought to you by Mark Pierrepont.
