A quiet start to the year for the Greyhound Trader online auctions.
From the choice of 25 greyhounds available to bid on, just 6 greyhounds were sold in the first online auction of 2024 held by Greyhound Trader.
Selling for the most (post-auction) was Stormy Bucks for £6000. An April 2022 pup by Burgess Bucks, he is due to join the kennels of Belinda Green in Hove having obviously impressed his new owners when winning at Tralee in 17.56.
Fabulous Tempo was another to sell post-auction for £5000. A May 2022 bitch who is already an Open Race winner at Towcester, she is changing hands to Jason Gray who famously steered Mickys Barrett to an English Derby final.
From the kennels of Liam Dowling, Morestrawberries was sold for £4250 whilst Ballymac Bree and Bangoverthebar were sold at £6500 for the pair.
Overall, it was a rather quiet sales with a turnover of £22,200 and a sales success rate of only 24%.
