Greyhound Trader hosted what could have potentially been the last Online Auction of the year over the previous weekend and unsurprisingly there was plenty of attention on the website.
Stonepark Syd was the dog who attracted the highest bid, fetching £15,200 within the allocated time. A September 2021 son of Droopys Sydney, whose form in Ireland included 28.21 SPK, he was sold to Adam ‘Whisky’ Owen from the kennels of Craig Marston who has already hinted at a trip back across the sea for an appearance during the ‘Night of Stars’ spectacle at SPK.
Despite fetching £14,600, the story was different for Romeo Hanzo whose owner David Firmarger decided to keep him, opting for a shot at the €30,000 WillWeGo.com Irish St Leger at Limerick.
Arriving at the kennels of Belinda Green will be the unraced April 2022 dog Uncle Dan who sold for £6850 off a 28.74 trial at SPK as well as Slippy Edelle who sold for £4200 after her recent 28.92 trial at Tralee. The well-bred High Fashion sold for £5550 to Kevin Cobbold in Yarmouth whilst Sean Conway’s Lose Bullet will be going to Jim Reynolds having sold for £4050.
In total, 10 of the 25 greyhounds sold (40%) for a total value of £46,450.
