The preview is now available to read for this weekend’s upcoming Greyhound Trader online auction.

With a full catalogue of 20 greyhounds to bid on, the highlight is most definitely the young January 2025 bitch Droopys Teaser who was a debut 28.63 winner at Shelbourne Park en route to making the final of the recent prestigious ON1 competition. Others to look out for too include Daring Oreo, Gothic Abbess, Sallagh Goofy and West Coast Cool.

The auction will run from 6pm on Friday until 6pm Sunday (5th July).

In alphabetical order:

(click on name to view full form)

[1] BALLYSLOE MAX – September 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout who is yet to get off the mark in 7 attempts but has been performing to a good standard having clocked 28.88 in his penultimate run at Limerick during the prestigious Irish Graders Derby. Max looks to be a stout stayer and would be well suited to the 500m venues such as Towcester and Hove.

[2] BETHLEHEMS STAR – July 2024 daughter of Grangeview Ten who looks a bitch of the highest order having recently qualified at Kilkenny in an impressive 16.54. Her very first trial was also a promising 29.39 at Clonmel and only for being in season she would have raced by now.

[3] CARNEW LASS – September 2024 daughter of Ballymac Bolger who was a fast finishing winner at Enniscorthy a couple weeks ago in 29.55. She had previously made the semi-finals of the local ON1 stake and looks a versatile type.

[4] DARING CASPER – November 2024 son of Droopys Got It who got up late recently at Waterford to win an A3 in 29.28. This was his second career win following previous a 29.13 at Clonmel where he showed similar characteristics which would suit the strong 500m venues in the UK.

[5] DARING OREO – A high-quality August 2024 son of Callaway Pro Am who has a record of 5 wins from 12. All 5 of these wins have come at Waterford where his clocks have been consistent at 28.53, 28.54, 28.55, 28.61 and 28.65. Connections think highly of this dog who also carries an entry into the upcoming Juvenile Derby at Shelbourne Park.

[6] DROOPYS TEASER – Star-attraction of this weekend’s online auction, Teaser is a January 2025 dark brindle daughter of Dromana Bucko who was a debut winner in the recent Celtic Cooling ON1 stake at Shelbourne Park in 28.63. She showed incredible staying power in this race to get up by a length at the line and was all set to finish 3rd in the final last Saturday before being badly impeded on the run in. Just turned 18 months old and already performing to a high level, Teaser is undoubtedly a high-class competition bitch who could be targeted at the Nottingham Puppy Classic and Oaks in the UK or the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial if remaining in Ireland. Sure to attract big interest.

[7] FLYERS LEMON – April 2025 daughter of Ballymac Best who qualified at Galway in a modest 19.97. Known as being a tough venue to run, especially for a 15 month old pup, it is hard to gauge how good or not this bitch could be.

[8] FLYERS LILY – Litter sister to the aforementioned Lemon who beat her 1 length in that trial at Galway. Similar comments apply.

[9] GOTHIC ABBESS – June 2024 daughter of Ballymac Kingdom who is already a 5-time open race winner in the UK for trainer Michelle Brown. Her best form has been over 6-bends and she was unlucky not to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the Coronation Cup at Romford having finished 4th in the opening round. Comes from a high-class litter including Ballydoyle Tina and Bikini Bullet.

[10] LONG PARROTT – July 2024 son of Signet Ace who has won 2 from 3 to date. Both wins came over the sprint distance with connections viewing the 525y slightly out of range for this early paced flyer. The form looks good with 19.13 at Galway and 17.70 at Newbridge placing him into S2 grade. Would be one for those looking for a Romford dog.

[11] RIDGEDALE ROXY – November 2024 daughter of Deerjet Sydney who won her 2nd ever race and 1st attempt over 4-bends at Lifford in 29.28. She showed a strong running attitude in this race and duly confirmed this promise with a recent 29.26 trial at the same venue.

[12] ROAMING DIALLO – October 2024 son of Grangeview Ten who has just the two qualifying marks to his name. The first of this was 29.93 at Cork before an 18.33 attempt at the same venue which keeps him at the ON2 grade. One who falls into the could be anything category.

[13] ROSSA SHELBY – May 2024 daughter of Tommy Shelby who is due to run in the final of the Time Graders Derby in Ireland this weekend having won her semi-final in 28.85 at Limerick. Her older-brother Grantstown Cross has proven himself to be a top open greyhound in the UK.

[14] SALLAGH GOOFY – September 2024 son of Swords Rex who qualified this morning for the first time at Newbridge in 28.83, beating his trial opponent 10 lengths. A half-brother to Singalong Dolly and Venetian Mick, Goofy looks an exciting prospect for the future and would still qualify for the upcoming Nottingham Puppy Classic.

[15] TETRA DESTINY – May 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger who is on the older side but was still a 28.36 winner at Cork back in May which proves the ability is still there. Formerly 3rd in the 2025 Produce Stakes only behind Bossman Buddy and Slingshot Poppy, he could be a ready-made type to aim at any specific competitions coming up in the near future.

[16] WEST COAST COOL – April 2024 son of Grangeview Ten who made a bright start to life with wins at Waterford in 28.37 and 28.38. He has lately been running at Shelbourne Park and managed to record 29.79 over 550y when finishing 2nd in an AA0. Open-class type to take all over the country.

[17] WHY SO BLUE – September 2024 son of Ballymac Bolger who finished 2nd last night at Enniscorthy in 29.85. Litter brothers and sisters have sold well in previous online auctions.

[18] ZEBEDEE DUBLIN – July 2024 son of Ballyhimikin Jet who has just the one official trial to name in Ireland which was an 18.92 sprint in Thurles. Ready-made graded prospect with all the hard work of schooling already done.

[19] ZEBEDEE PAPHOS – September 2024 son of Links Maverick who is yet to get off the mark running at Towcester but most recently finished 2nd in an A7 over 500m. Another graded ready to go who is already based in the UK with bond paid for.

[20] ZEBEDEE VIENNA – July 2024 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet who is running at Towcester but doesn’t stay the 500m. She’s won twice in D4 and D5 grade and could make a worthy investment for a graded kennel at the tighter tracks.
