The latest online auction event held by Greyhound Trader over the first weekend in August was again successful with no less than nine greyhounds finding new owners.
Topping the sale was LUCKY DUKE having sold for £6500. The October 2024 son of Grouchos Duke had recently trialed around Limerick in 28.55 and will continue his racing career in the hands of Ted Soppitt who is already eyeing up the upcoming Classic and All-England Cup events.
Only £50 behind him was the sale of MUSTANG CARLOS at £6450. A very young April 2025 son of Tuono Charlie, his 28.93 trial at Clonmel over the weekend was enough to convince a syndicate of owners to purchase him to go into training with Laura Pruhs.
SWIFT KRAB was another good sale, in fact exceeding his reserve price when selling for a price of £3950. The June 2024 son of Signet Ace boasts some impressive form at Central Park but will now move to either Monmore or Dunstall Park to continue his career.
Selling for £3500 also was SALEEN BLOOM. A January 2025 bitch who was a winner in her only ever race at Tralee in 29.03, this strong running type is set to join the ranks at Central Park which should suit nicely.
In total, 9 of the 19 greyhounds sold at a clearance rate of 47% for a total of £26,300.
