LOT 15205 - Zaconey Montana (IRE)
Zaconey Montana
Current bid: £5,600.00
Zaconey Montana
The winner of the 2026 Kasko unraced stake at Thurles last weekend!
Zaconey Montana is an October 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout who claimed the prestigious Kasko unraced stake final despite taking a heavy bump at the first bend. Showing a tremendous burst of pace down the back straight, he powered clear to score in 29.43 (-40), on a track running slow.
Having shown plenty of promise in home schooling, Montana made an impressive start to the competition, winning his first-round heat in 29.15 (-40) by five lengths, coming from off the pace to finish strongly. He followed this with a second-place finish in the semi-final, recording 29.14 (-40) despite some crowding.
Despite only recently turning two, Montana had not been schooled around other dogs before entering the stake, owing to the small size of his current kennel. His performances in the competition have demonstrated his natural ability, and connections have every confidence that he has the potential to compete at a very high level in the future.
