LOT 15247 - Tromora Cherish (IRE)
Tromora Cherish
Current bid: £1,050.00
Tromora Cherish
A daughter of Signet Ace whose only mark to date is an impressive 29.83 (-20) at Galway.
Tromora Cherish is a 60lb black bitch who won her trial at Galway by 12 lengths, a superb effort at one of Ireland’s toughest venues for a youngster who has only just turned 14 months old.
Cherish is bred to stay, with her dam, Tromora Merkle, having scored on debut at Shelbourne Park in 28.87. More importantly, Merkle is a half-sister to staying stars Ballymac Katie, Ballymac Taylor and Garfiney Blaze. She also comes from the influential Ballymac Merkle line, which has produced the likes of Ballymac Kobe, Ballymac Lucia, Ballymac Suin, Salacres Slick and Haka Carlo.
The Tromora kennel has already enjoyed online auction success, with Tromora Sand, a March 2025 whelp and twice an Open-race winner, selling for £3,050 against a similar reserve.
Having only just turned 14 months old, Cherish represents a longer-term investment with plenty of time to develop and the potential to provide her new connections with plenty of enjoyment at a good level.
She looks well suited to 500m venues, with the possibility of stepping up to six bends as she matures.
