Orchid Belle is an October 2024 daughter of Dorotas Wildcat who has won three of her five races to date, boasting an impressive 60% strike rate.
She claimed the ON2 final in fine style, winning by 2½ lengths in a smart 28.66 (+20). This was only her third career start, having previously won her semi-final in 28.81 (+20), with both performances highlighting her strong-running style.
An eye-catching 18.78 sprint trial at Limerick followed before she stepped up to 600 yards at the same venue, where she again obliged, beating a well-regarded Zenith rival by a length in 32.81.
A wide runner, Belle has shown excellent track craft and determination throughout her short career. She looks well suited to 500m circuits in the UK, with the potential to step up to six bends.
Her dam, Cicero, has already produced high-class performers and is herself a half-sister to Coolavanny Hoffa and Stonepark Browne, adding further appeal to Belle as an intriguing future breeding prospect.
