LOT 15219 - Amidus Hulk (IRE)
Amidus Hulk
Current bid: £3,350.00
Amidus Hulk
A rare opportunity to acquire an open-class performer who has competed against, and beaten, some of the very best.
Amidus Hulk is a May 2024 son of The Other Kobe who possesses exceptional early pace, best demonstrated in his 28.18 winning performance at Shelbourne Park, where he recorded a phenomenal 15.78 sectional to the third bend.
Just a week earlier, he had won over the same course and distance in 28.45, while a month before that he also stopped the clock in a rapid 18.54 sprint trial over 350 yards at Shelbourne Park.
Entered in this year’s Irish Derby at Shelbourne Park, Hulk won his opening-round heat in an impressive 29.65. It is worth noting that this was arguably one of the strongest heats of the first round, with Hulk defeating the likes of English Derby winner Lennies Eddie, Ballymac Setanta and Kirby Memorial winner Faypoint Ranger.
With just 13 races under his belt, four of them victories, all achieved in open-class company, Hulk remains a lightly raced performer with plenty to offer. His explosive early pace makes him an exciting prospect for top-level competition, particularly the Classic at Sunderland over 450m.
