Greyhound Trader have decided to reward their customers and put on an invitational race on Greyhound Derby final night at Towcester on Saturday 10th July. The conditions of the race state that the greyhound must be sold at one of our auctions or privately to be accepted into the race, worth £1000 to the winner.
James Corden says “We are delighted to be able to sponsor a race on the biggest night in the greyhound calendar and reward not only our customers, but also the greyhounds who have gone on to prove themselves worthy of racing on a night like this one. I hope we are fulfilling the dreams of a few people this Saturday by allowing them to have their greyhound run on such a prestigious night and I’m sure the atmosphere around the race will make up for what has been a tough year for greyhound owners.”
The race can be seen below and consists of four greyhounds from the Towcester ‘Pre-Derby’ sale, one from the Doncaster ‘Summer’ sale and then a private purchase in Savana King.
Best of luck to all greyhounds in the race and we cannot wait to see who comes out on top!
