Mark Pierrepont runs a rule over the Doncaster sales entries

Black Carrot is quite simply a superbly bred young pup.  Sired by one of the leading sires of the moment Ballymac Best and out of a dam who has already proven herself to be a producer of numerous high grade and open class greyhounds.  Mother Gorgeous Gal has already produced the likes of Jaytee Jordan who won the 2018 Sporting Press Irish Oaks at Shelbourne as well the likes of Lostrigg Charlie and Seaglass Sparky who both won numerous opens here in the UK.  With many other winners produced by Gorgeous Gal this super unraced puppy prospect is sure to attract plenty of attention.
Waikiki Max is a young unraced greyhound sired by Laughil Blake and out of a dam who is closely related to many open race greyhounds.  Totally unexposed and could prove to be an excellent purchase for new connections.

Cozimo Salah is a super early paced greyhound who’s winning record of 1 from 11 doesn’t do him justice.  He’s led in the majority of races in Ireland only to be picked up in the latter stages due to blatantly not seeing out the tough 525 yards around Irelands premier track Shelbourne.  This greyhound looks tailor made for anything up to the likes of 450m at Sunderland and is sure to win plenty of high-grade races over that kind of trip.
Wanted Noelle is an unraced bitch pup sired by Droopys Sydney and out of Sarista who has already thrown open racing offspring such as Lazy Man a winner of many sprint opens for Kevin Hutton , Hillcrest Jet who recorded a stunning 2114 over Dundalk’s National Sprint trip of 400 yards and Kalamoun a multiple open race winner who won the veterans open race on English Greyhound Derby final night in 2020 at Nottingham.

Piercestown Work is an unraced young greyhound who comes from the debut litter of Patchwork Salmon.  Litter sister Neamstown Sal is already a seven-time winner around Harlow.
Skirk Houdini is an unraced pup out of the strong running Fair Spin who has already produced many high-grade winners during her time as a brood.  Houdini was well beaten after ‘checking first’ in a Kilkenny sales trial in August.  Has since shown huge improvement winning a 525-yard trial at Enniscorthy by fully 18 lengths in 30.14.

Mustang Tyson is a very well-bred young greyhound who looked extremely likely to gain the first victory of his career at just the second time of asking around Shelbourne in mid-May.  Looking all over the winner in A6 company rounding the final turn he appeared to stumble and lost all chance.  He still recorded a decent 29.46 and showcased what might have been just a week later when recording 2900 over the same course and distance winning a two-dog trial by 12 lengths.  A lovely looking blue brindle greyhound and already graded A2 in Ireland he would appear to have a very bright future.
Mustang Costa is a very young December 2019 bitch pup with just the two qualifying trials on her card in Ireland recording identical calculated times of 30.69 over 525 yards at Clonmel and Kilkenny respectively.  From the famous Spiral Nikita dam line and open to any amount of improvement.

Candy Lady an unraced January 2020 whelp is just 17 months old and a hugely interesting entry in this sale.  Winning her most recent trial in Ireland around Enniscorthy in 30.31 by 4 lengths she’s obviously got ability and will no doubt prove a fair purchase for her new connections.  Those with an eye for breeding however will also have one eye on her future as a brood.  Sired by the up-and-coming Australian stud dog Out Of Range (National Derby Final Winner 2018 at Wentworth Park) and out of Adamant Reba a seven-time winner herself but interestingly a half-sister to amongst many other star greyhounds Stonepark Leo who ran out an impressive winner of the Con And Annie Kirby Memorial Final at Limerick this year.  A very interesting entry in this sale and sure to attract the eye of many good judges.

Daylens Sydney an unraced November 2019 pup with just 4 trials on his card in Ireland the most recent being a calculated 30.59 Enniscorthy.  This youngster is bred to stay stern tests of stamina being a son of Lughill Ivy who had the four-bend pace to record 28.37 around Shelbourne Park but had the stamina to win over the stamina zapping 1025-yard trip at the same venue.  The best of this lad won’t surely be seen for some time yet.

Romantic Grace (ex-Dyno Grace) is a young bitch who has plenty of pace and this is evidenced by the fact she stopped the clock in a mightily impressive 29.48 Tralee in the first official 525-yard trial of her life.  Subsequently finished third beaten just under a length in a Youghal sales trial with the race card comment of stumbled , baulked 3rd recording a calculated time of 29.79.  Name change ensued after being sold at the sale prior to showing plenty of pace but undoubtedly plenty of ‘greeness’ when eventually a well beaten last in a Kilkenny 0N1 race.  This bitch looks like she could be a project for somebody with patience and if getting to the bottom of her could well turn out to be one very fast lady.
Romantic Doll (ex Effernogue Dolly) Young September 2019 pup with breeding to die for.  Sired by the magnificent Ballymac Eske and out of a half-sister to amongst many other stars the 2015 Irish Derby champion Ballymac Matt.  Won the first official 525-yard trial of her life in 29.80 Enniscorthy and had no luck in running on her sole competitive start to date when finishing last at Kilkenny in ON1 company but still managing to record 29.93.  Prior to her competitive racing debut was sold at Kilkenny sale after finishing second in her trial recording a calculated 29.98.

Fabulous Rossa a raw young November 2019 bitch pup who couldn’t have been more impressive when winning the sole competitive start of her career to date by fully 6 lengths in 29.83 around the tough Youghal circuit.  Bred out of Fabulous Holiday who was destined to a top-class open race career before a fall resulted in a career ending injury.  Looks a top prospect both for her racing career and potentially as a brood in the future.

Battletime No wins in six races, but for his best run, a narrow defeat at Enniscorthy, this little ‘un was six pounds lighter than when he next went to traps.

Mrs Woodford nice looking blue brindled bitch who has just reached 2yo.  Yet to win in four starts at a low level.  Recorded 2984 in her most recent trial at Shelbourne so should have little difficulty grading at any track in the UK.

Mustang Cass a strong running young Flying Penske greyhound weighing in at 80lb.  Yet to win in three starts but noted doing plenty of late work and can only improve for racing and over a tougher test of stamina than he’s faced so far too.  Wide runner.

Monbeg Havana just the two races on this young pup’s card and already an impressive winner when coming from behind to account for A8 company by an easy 3 lengths in 29.45 (+20) last time out.  Looks sure to move right through the grades.

Cushie Rena lovely looking August 2019 blue bitch pup who paid a heavy price for an emphatic 17 length success in A8 company at Enniscorthy in 29.14.  Next outing came in A3 and was well beaten but a bitch who should make high grade with a fresh start here in the UK and if handled steadily through the grading system to develop her experience.

Tame Tiger lovely brindle dog who falls firmly into the ‘could be anything category’.  Litter brother to Free For All and similarly an August 2019 pup with his whole career ahead of him.  Faultless and unbeaten in three trials to date with the latest being an excellent 2.937 effort at Newbridge.  Sure to go well in his trial and a greyhound with a very good future.

Waikiki Beanie young brindled September 2019 bitch pup.  Being out of the dam Muchus Gracias should have little difficulty staying any four-bend trip in the UK.

Waikiki Bix just a November 2019 pup who despite his young age recorded 30.07 in his only trial so far at Waterford.  Out of the dam Enable an open class bitch herself and closely related to many other open class greyhounds.  Any amount of improvement in this youngster upon whatever he does today and could prove to be a very shrewd purchase.

Coill Bhui Liath strong running young dog who can do it off the front or from behind.  Won two of his nine races so far, 29.35 when always leading early in his career and a 29.37 run from way off the pace and pulling clear to the pick-up both of which came at Tralee.  Again won from off the pace when recording 29.36 in a Cork sales trial last month.  Sure to win plenty especially on a good galloping circuit.
